The Early Childhood Commission (ECC), last week Thursday, August 28, awarded ten (10) teachers from St Ann for their service to early childhood institutions in the parish. The award ceremony and luncheon was held at the Gran Bahia Principe Resort, Runaway Bay, St. Ann. Those awarded were: Sonia Green, Delphine Coombs, Basle Nunes, Valerie Cole, Joyce Lindsay, Yvonne Daley, Panceta Walters, Winnifred Moore, Gloria Reid and Wright. The combined of service of the honourees was 443 years. Executive director of the ECC, Dr Joan Reid and chairman Professor Maureen Samms-Vaugh made presentations to the teachers.In photos, students from Discovery Bay Basic School do an item at the awards ceremony.
